Can anyone give me a definition and example of QA and QC? I know they’re
"Quality Control" and "Quality Assurance", but what do they mean in the
real world? Web sites would be cool, too.
Thanks,
Chris

Suppose a dead body is found in the wild, and the body has been
slightly scavenged by wild animals. What indications would lead a
forensic pathologist to conclude the person had been killed by a wild
animal, versus dying from other causes?

I am in charge of the phlebotomy department at the Royal Free hospital. We
are improving our training course and are looking for sources of
documentation for use in this. We are also interested in formal courses and
NVQ’s in phlebotomy and/or cannulation. Thank you for your help.

I wonder whether readers might consider posting kidney disease questions
to AJKD Forum. See http://www.ajkd.org and then click on "discussion
forum".
We would welcome patient and patient family messages as long as
they are non-offensive, non-commercial, and have to do with kidney
medicine including transplantation. Many features are possible there
including the posting of pictures, smileys etc. and you will see that
the quality of answers has been very high.
When you look at the Forum set the selection bar at top to "Show topics
from last 100 days" and then you will be able to see all the messages
since the mid October ’99 (also listed below). Feel free to reply to
any of the
messages or to start your own topic. Replying will bring that topic to
the top of the list. Anything related to the kidney is a legitimate topic.
So I look forward to hearing from you at AJKD Forum!
All the best. – Kim Solez, M.D. Moderator, AJKD Forum

I am looking for Neuropathologist/Pathologist who do autopsies for

Hi,
I’m looking for a macro to measure the thickness of epidermis of the skin
(Breslow-thickness.) I use the KS-300-software from Zeiss. My goal is to get
a live microscope-image in the computer. Then I want draw lines on the
picture. The computer then has to tell me how long those lines are. (Of
course after calibration.) I would be nice when this calibration was part of
the macro.
So:
-Calibration from a live image
-Drawing a line on the picture
-Telling the computer how long those line is
-Measurement from a live image
-Drawing ten lines on the picture (or more, or less)
-Getting an histogram with average value, top value and bottom value
It would be marvelous when someone could send me some examples
Thanks in Progress !!!!!!
