What would the difference be between being a
pathologist and being a medical examiner?
(education requred, employment opportunities,
wages, etc..)
Thank you in advance

A less smart-alecky answer (everyone’s allowed an occasional typo!)
might be:
A medical examiner *is* a pathologist, who has subspecialized in
forensic pathology, which involves the investigation of "unnatural"
death (whether accident, suicide, homicide, otherwise unexplained),
and by its nature also encompasses the investigation of natural deaths
that have occured outside a hospital setting.
Another question might be "what is the difference between a medical
examiner and a coroner?" A coroner is not necessarily a pathologist at
all, and occasionally (though not frequently) not even a physician.
But he/she, if not a pathologist, almost always employs pathologists
to do forensic autopsies (these probably are not subspecialized,
however). Indeed the medical examiner system, originally designed over
40 years ago in large urban centers, arose out of a desire to increase
the sophistication of forensic autopsies, and has gradually spread
beyond urban areas.
Regarding remuneration of medical examiners: probably these are among
the lowest paid pathologists, despite their specialized training,
given that they are employed by government (local/county) agencies. An
unfortunate situation, perhaps, but not unexpected…
